This site was conceived as a comprehensive, annotated, searchable, written record and resource library for the old Brooks families of New England. While it's far too incomplete to label "comprehensive" yet, it does meet the remaining design goals, and its usefulness gently grows with each data upload. You can keep up with additions and revisions to any person or page via the Change Log or the Notify Me When this Page Changes links on each of the genealogy pages.
TECH STUFF: These pages are designed for speedy and efficient viewing (and have been tested) in current versions of the Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Opera browsers, with a monitor resolution of 1024 x 768 or (most preferably) higher. A modular site design uses cascading style sheets, limited page sizes, optimized graphics, Javascripts and cookies to provide the dialup (or broadband) visitor maximum information with minimum download time and system resources. If you do not have Javascript and cookies enabled on your machine, your host cannot be responsible for the quality of your reception. Pedigree and descendant charts will only display properly in a standards-compliant browser. Windows 2000 users stuck with Internet Explorer 6 should consider an immediate upgrade to Firefox. Windows XP users should have already acquired IE7 via Windows Update.
