       Ephraim/4w Buck Jr. was born 13 Jul 1676 at Woburn, MA.¹ There he married, 1 Dec 1696, Esther Waget.² Named in his father's will, 23 Nov 1717.³

       Ephraim/3 Buck was born 26 Jul 1646 at Cambridge, MA.¹ "Ephraim Buck was, at one time, an inmate of Dea. John Mousall's family, and is named in the latter's will," 19 Jun 1660.² 29 Aug 1668, Ephraim Buck testified in Middlesex County Court concerning Edmund Augier's horse, mentioning his brother Samuel and William Bull. Isaac Brooks, his future wife's uncle, stood surety for him.³ Ephraim married, 1 Jan 1670/71 at Woburn, Sarah/3w Brooks, daughter of John/2w Brooks and Eunice/2 Mousall, and granddaughter of Dea. John Mousall, with whom he had 8 children.⁴ He and his wife also raised her niece Eunice/4w Richardson after the death of the child's mother in 1703/4.⁵ A farmer, he was appointed magistrate to try small causes by the General Court.⁶
     "In his will, dated Nov. 23, 1717, probated Mar. 24, 1720–21, he mentions his wife, Sarah; his sons, Ephraim, Samuel, John and Ebenezer; and his daughters, Sarah Grover, Mary Spike and Eunice Buck; and also Eunice Richardson, whom he brought up; Sarah Grover being the wife of Thomas Grover, and Mary Spike the wife of Nathaniel Spike, or Pike."⁵ He died at Woburn Jan 1720/21 at age 74.⁷
     "He was a man of much distinction. He was appointed local magistrate by the general court, to try small causes. He was a farmer. His grandson Jonathan was the founder of Bucksport, Maine."⁶

       Sarah/3w Brooks was born 21 Nov 1652 at Woburn, MA.¹ Mentioned in the will of her grandfather Dea. John Mousall, 19 Jun 1660.² She married, 1 Jan 1670/71 at Woburn, Ephraim/3 Buck, son of Roger/2 Buck and Susanna (–?–), with whom she had 8 children.³ Sewall's History of Woburn notes, "Ephraim Buck's wife had smallpox in the Plague of 1679 (May)."⁴ Named in her father's will, 29 Jul 1690.² She and her husband raised her niece Eunice/4w Richardson after the death of Eunice's mother in 1703/4.⁵ Named in her husband's will, 23 Nov 1717.⁵

       Sarah/4w Roberts was born 15 Jan 1697 at Woburn, MA.¹

       Joanna/4w Roberts was born 13 Feb 1693/94 at Woburn, MA.¹ She married, at Charlestown by 1711, Philip/1 Alexander of Charlestown.^2,3 They first lived at Charlestown, where Philip had 26 acres of land.⁴ In 1716 they moved to Woburn and sold the Charlestown property to Edward Bucknam.⁴ Philip was killed while with the colonial forces at Lake George, 26 Aug 1758.⁵

       Giles/4w Roberts was born 16 Jan 1686/87 at Woburn, MA.¹ He married (1), by 1715, Deborah (–?–).² She died at Woburn 9 Mar 1724.³ There he married (2), 11 Nov 1724, Lydia Wright of Woburn.⁴ He died at Wilmington 3 Oct 1739 at age 52.⁵

       Elder David/4w Roberts Jr. was born 24 Oct 1684 at Woburn, MA.¹ Mentioned in the will of his grandfather John/2w Brooks, 29 Jul 1690.³ He married, by 1711, Rachel/4 Pierce of Woburn, daughter of Thomas/3 Pierce and Rachel Bacon.⁴ Named an executor in the will of his father-in-law Thomas/3 Pierce III, 26 Nov 1717.⁵ 5 Dec 1737, David Roberts and wife Rachell were admitted to the church at Putnam, CT from Woburn.⁶ "David Robards, Elder, his wife" died 23 Mar 1759 (Putnam c.r.).⁷

       Eunice/4w Roberts was born 28 Oct 1679 at Woburn, MA.¹ Mentioned in the will of her grandfather John/2w Brooks, 29 Jul 1690.³

       David/2 Roberts was born at Black Point, Scarborough, ME, and raised as an orphan by his uncle Arthur Alger.² "Entered an East. Cl. for a ho. and 54a at Scarboro." [Does this reference a property claim for damage incurred during Philip's War or its succeeding hostilities in Maine?]¹ A weaver, he removed to Woburn, MA and there married, 2 Oct 1678, Joanna/3w Brooks of Woburn, daughter of John/2w Brooks and Eunice/2 Mousall, with whom he had 5 children.³ Identified in the estate papers of his uncle Arthur Alger.¹ He died at Woburn 4 Sep 1724.⁴ Joanna died there 1 Dec following.⁵

       Rev. Samuel/2 Carter was born 8 Aug 1640 at Watertown, MA.¹ He graduated Harvard College in 1660.² He married, 1672, Eunice/3w Brooks, daughter of John/2w Brooks and Eunice/2 Mousall.^3,2 Admitted a freeman of Woburn, 2 Oct 1678.⁴ Served as Woburn's schoolteacher and as a town officer.⁵ "Afterwards minister at Lancaster and Groton (Sibley's Harv. Graduates, ii., 65)."⁵ He died at Groton before 30 Oct 1693, when administration of his estate was granted.^6,7 His widow married (2) Capt. James/1 Parker, and (3) John/2 Kendall.^5,8
