       Hannah/2 Bowen was born 3 May 1665 at Rehoboth, MA.³ Of Swansea, there she married, 10 Nov 1685, Rev. Timothy/3w Brooks Jr. of Swansea, son of Capt. Timothy/2w Brooks and Mary Russell.^4,5 They lived at Swansea for perhaps five years after marriage.
     About 1690 they followed Timothy's father to Salem County, West Jersey. According to Robert Peacock Brooks, they landed at the mouth of the Cohansey River, then Salem and today Cumberland County. "Some of these people settled along the north side and some on the south side. The Brooks, Bowens, Barrotts and the Swinneys settled along the north side near Bridgetown (Bridgeton) and called their settlement 'Bowentown,' or the Brooks Company, for the reason that Timothy Brooks, Junior, was their pastor. The region near the home of the Barrotts was known and is still known today [1927] as Barrotts Run ... Many of the descendants of Timothy, Jr. live in the region of Bowentown, and for many years his lineal descendants lived on the farm of his father at that place."⁶
     Daughter Hannah Brooks is named in the will of her father Obadiah/2 Bowen, dated 11 Dec 1708 at Swansea.¹
     16 Oct 1711, Timothy and Hanna Brooks of Cohanse, County of Salem, West Jersey, granted power of attorney to "our well beloved brother John Brooks" of Rehoboth, to receive a legacy on their behalf, to be paid by Thomas Bowen of Swansea, "from his and our Hon'rd ffather Obadiah Bowen Sen'r."⁷ 10 Mar 1712, John Brooks of Swanzey, as attorney for Timothy and Hannah Brooks, receipted to Thomas Bowen, executor, for 8 pounds 10 shillings, '& one bed & beding in full of a Legacie … unto sd Hannah Brooks.⁸' Thomas Bowen of Swansea, executor of the estate of Obadiah/2 Bowen of Swansea, reports, 12 May 1712, legacy to John Brooks for (brother) Timothy Brooks (of West Jersey) and Hannah his wife.⁷ Mentioned in her husband's will, 26 Jan 1715/16, and named co-executor of his estate 10 Feb following.⁹

       Timothy/4w Brooks III was born 23 Apr 1687, probably at Swansea, MA (but oft cited as Bowentown, NJ).^3,2,1 Removed with his parents c. 1690 to Salem County, West Jersey.⁴ There he married, circa 1709, Mary (–?–).⁵ Mentioned in his father's will, 26 Jan 1715/16.⁶ A yeoman farmer, he lived on a farm near his father at Bowentown, north of the Cohansey River.^7,8 He died before 5 Jun 1730, when Peter Turner of Salem, merchant, filed a bond as administrator of the estate, having sworn that said Timothy died intestate.⁸

       Dea. Melatiah/4 Martin was born 31 Aug 1673 at Swansea, MA.¹ There he married, 6 Nov 1696, Rebecca/3w Brooks, daughter of Capt. Timothy/2w Brooks and Mary Russell.^2,3 Brother-in-law Melatiah Martin and sister Rebecca Martin of Rehoboth are mentioned in the will of her brother John/3w Brooks, 9 Apr 1713.^4,5 He was ordained deacon of the Second Baptist Church, 19 Oct 1715.⁶
     He reportedly married (2?), 11 Apr 1744, Jemima Wright.⁷ He died 30 Jan 1761 at age 87.^8,6

       Thomas/4w Lester was born in 1690.¹

       John/4w Lester was born 15 Oct 1679 at New London, CT.¹ There he married (1), 8 Apr 1702, Hannah/3 Carpenter of N.L., daughter of David/2 Carpenter and Sarah Hough.² There she died 28 Nov 1708.^3,4 He married (2) Abigail Munsell.⁴ He died at New London 31 Dec 1711 at age 32.⁴

       Daniel/4w Lester Jr. was born 15 Apr 1676 at New London, CT.¹ He married (1), 1702, Mary Wells.² He married (2), 2 Feb 1720 at New London, Sarah Brown of Colchester.^3,4 Died before the marriage of his daughter Grace, 1743/4.⁵

       Elizabeth/4w Lester was born 25 Feb 1671/72 at New London, CT.¹

       Hannah/4w Lester was born 11 Mar 1670/71 at New London, CT.¹ There she married, 27 Mar 1690, William Chapman Jr.^2,3 They are "supposed to have settled in Groton."³ She died in 1701.⁴ He died 21 Aug 1734.⁵
