Ebenezer/3s Carter was born 9 Sep 1697 at Deerfield, MA.1 Taken in the French and Indian attack on Deerfield, 29 Feb 1703/4, he was ransomed from captivity in Canada in 1707.2,3 He married, at New Canaan, CT, Hannah St. John (Sention).3 Buried at Norwalk, CT.3

Marah/3s Carter was born 22 Jan 1700/1 at Deerfield, MA.1 With her stepmother and 5 siblings she was taken captive, in the early morning hours of 29 Feb 1703/4, in the French and Indian raid on Deerfield. She was killed on the forced march to Canada which ensued.2,3

Joseph/4s Brooks Jr. was born 10 Apr 1735 at Palmer, MA.1 Mentioned in his father's will, 27 Nov 1750; assigned to the custody of his mother and his uncle Ichabod Bliss after his father's death on the same date.2,3,4 He married, 20 Mar 1760 at Brimfield, MA, Ruth Russell. The subsequent baptisms of 4 children are recorded in Brimfield church records.5
Joseph Brooks Jr. had 289 acres in various land divisions at Palmer, MA. In the Ware Division, "he bought 100 acres of the Claimers, and it was a General Court grant, and situated in the northeast corner of the District. It was bounded east by Brookfield and north by Col. Pynchon's 500 acre grant. [So stated on the records, but the north boundary is not right.]"6
