       Pvt. Cephas/4s Brooks was born 10 Jan 1755 at Northfield, MA.2,1 A Revolutionary soldier, 1781, in Capt. Edwards's Connecticut company.3,1 Recorded at Hinsdale, VT, in the 1790 census, with two boys under 16 and two females.4 In 1800 Cephas and his brother Alpheus were recorded at Middlebury. Cephas's household included himself and his wife, two sons, and two daughters.5 Cephas died in 1811.3 Buried in E. Middlebury.3

       Elizabeth/3s Brooks was born 24 Feb 1698/99 at Springfield, MA.1 She married, as his 1st wife (int. 18 Feb 1720/21, Springfield, as Henry "Jr."), Henry Wright, son of Benjamin Wright and Mary/3 Chapin.2,3 She died 29 May 1738 (c.r.) at age 39.3 Henry married (2), int. 19 May 1739, Jane Doolittle of Elbows, widow of Samuel.3

       John/3s Brooks was born 21 Mar 1702/3 at Springfield, MA.1 He married, as her 1st husband, 19 Jul 1722, Rebecca Ferry, daughter of Thomas Ferry and Mary (–?–), with whom he had 9 children.1,2 1728, John Brooks, probably the same, had 250 acres at Palmer, 50 of these bought of the "Gent. Claimers" and later "confirmed to him by the General Court" and known in 1889 as the Reuben Rogers farm. It bounded 80 rods on the Quaboag River, and was sold to Hugh McMaster, 1741.3 John Brooks died at Wilbraham 11 Oct 1745 at age 42.1

       Eliakim/4s Brooks was born 11 Nov 1736 at Winchester, NH (also rec. this date at Deerfield, MA; and this date at Winchester as his sister Abigail).1,2 One of Captain Burke's Rangers, 1757, and a soldier under Captain John Hawks in the last French war.3,4 Of Montague, MA, he married, by 1761, Elizabeth (–?–), with whom he had 6 or more children (3 of these living, 1778).5 He died at Valley Forge, 1 Jul 1778, at age 41.6 His widow relocated to Greenfield, MA where two daughters were subsequently married.

       Eunice/4s Brooks was born 2 May 1739 at Winchester, NH.1 Then of Montague, MA, she married, 2 Feb 1758 at Northfield, Benjamin Rose of N., son of Joseph Rose and Patience (–?–), with whom she had 9 children.2 Probably living with son Nathaniel at Winhall, VT in the 1800 census.3
