       William G/6k Cole was born circa 13 Sep 1822 at Eliot, ME.1 He married (1), 25 Feb 1851 at Biddeford, his 1st cousin Hannah H. Tobey/6k Brooks, daughter of Asa/5k Brooks and Abigail Tobey.2,3 She died at Portsmouth 30 Apr 1860.4 He married (2), 16 Nov 1862 at Hampton, NH, Susan Leavitt Page of Hampton, daughter of Josiah Page and Susan Leavitt.5 He died at Hampton 7 Jan 1890. His widow died 23 Dec 1896 (g.s.).6
     He was a tanner and currier doing business at Portsmouth, NH and Saco, ME.7

       John Wesley/6k Brooks was born 3 Oct 1825 (g.s.) in York County, ME.1 He married, 28 Nov 1850 (int. 27 Oct) at Biddeford, Julia A. Caswell of Gosport, NH.1,2 She died 16 Feb 1889.1 Perhaps the John W. recorded in the 1890 census, veterans schedule, at South Eliot, ME.3 If so, he served a 9-month enlistment in Co. C, 45th Maine Vols., in 1862-63.3 He died 8 May 1901 (g.s.) at age 75.1,4 John and Julia are buried next to his parents in Eliot.5
