       Dea. Henry/4 Burt Jr., 2d so-named, was born 4 Jan 1693 at Springfield, MA.¹ There he married, 22 Mar 1720, Bethia/3 Terry, daughter of Thomas/2 Terry and Mary/2 Cooley.^2,3
     A first settler of the new town of Brimfield, at the first town meeting he was chosen one of two tithingmen.² "His name appears in the report of the committee on land grants dated 9 Sep 1730, in which each person named in his group was allotted 80 acres. This report was rejected and, on 17 June 1731, he was granted 130 acres."² 9 Nov 1731, one of a committee of three elected to oversee completion of the meeting-house.² 27 Mar 1732, the town voted to establish a bridge over Chickuppee Brook by Henry Burt's.² 4 Jul 1732, it was voted at a proprietors' meeting that Henry Burt and John Lumbard have land laid out to them in lieu of the Burying Place which is in their land.² "He was one of the early deacons of the church and was a selectman in 1741."⁴ 8 Jun 1752, he deeded to his son Henry Jr. of Sturbridge, one-half of his home-lot, including one-half of his house and barn, located a little southeast of the meeting-house.⁵ 23 Mar 1756, sold land to Micajah Dunham.⁵
     "On 12 Sep 1757 his widow was seated in the foreseat below, on the women's side of the meeting-house, so he must have died before that date."⁵ She died at Brimfield 21 Mar 1776.⁶

       Bethia/3 Terry was born 4 Jul 1694 at Springfield, MA.^1,2 There she married, 22 Mar 1720, Dea. Henry/4 Burt Jr., son of Dea. Henry/3 Burt and Elizabeth/3 Warriner.^1,3 They lived at Brimfield, where he died before 12 Sep 1757, when his widow was seated in the foreseat below, on the women's side of the meetinghouse.⁴ She died at Brimfield 21 Mar 1776 at age 81.⁵
