Thomas/a Richardson was born circa 1567 at Standon, Hertfordshire.1 He married, 24 Aug 1590 at Westmill, Hertfordshire, Katherine Duxford of Westmill (daughter of Richard Duxford and Joan (–?–)), with whom he had 7 children.2,1 He died at Westmill 7 Jan 1633/34, and was buried the following day.1 He was the father of three sons who went to New England, where they became founders of Woburn, one of the earliest settlements in the Massachusetts Bay Colony.

Samuel/1 Richardson was born circa 1610 in England.3 He emigrated to Massachusetts Bay, where he appears as an inhabitant of Charlestown 1 Jul 1636.4,3 He married Joanna (--?--), was admitted to the church 18 Feb 1638, and admitted freeman 2 May 1638.5,3
Samuel Richardson, in a deed dated 27 Mar 1651, mentions my brother Ezekiel Richardson, our brother Thomas Richardson, and my sister, Susanna Brooks (who was wife of my deceased brother, Ezekiel Richardson).6 Samuel died at Woburn 23 Mar 1657/58.7 Wyman abstracts his considerable real estate dealings at 2:810.8
"Samuel was one of three brothers who with four others were the founders of Woburn, MA in 1641. Samuel's brother Ezekiel came to America in 1630; Samuel came later."
Says Pope: "Samuel, yeoman, Charlestown…Removed to Woburn, 1640; town officer. With wife Joanna brought suit against John Marble 7 June 1658. [Middlesex Files]…He d. suddenly 23 Mar 1657-8, leaving 4 sons and 2 daus…."3

John/4w Carter was born 14 Mar 1680 at Woburn, MA.1 Mentioned in the will of his grandfather John/2w Brooks, 29 Jul 1690.2 He died at Lancaster 26 Mar 1705 at age 25.3
