       Lt. Hugh/3a Brooks was born 1 Jan 1677/78 at Concord, MA.1 "His brother Noah, was his guardian in 1697."2 He bought, 24 Aug 1697, his deceased brother Job's portion of their father Joshua's estate from his brothers and brothers-in-law.2,3 He married, 9 [Bond: Apr] 1701/2 at Concord, Abigail/3 Barker of Concord, daughter of John/2 Barker and Judith/2 Simonds.4 Selectman of Concord, 1730–33.5 He died there 18 Jan 1746 at age 68.6 His widow died 1 Sep 1761.7 They are buried in the Hill Burying Ground, Concord.8,7

       Abigail/3 Barker was born 19 Mar 1682 at Concord, MA.1 There she married, 9 [Bond: Apr] 1701/2, Lt. Hugh/3a Brooks of Concord, son of Dea. Joshua/2a Brooks and Hannah/2 Mason.2 He died at Concord 18 Jan 1746.3 Her will, dated 26 Jul 1751, named son-in-law Joseph Hapgood executor.4 She died 1 Sep 1761 (g.s.) at age 79.5 Her inventory, dated Nov 1761, amounted to £206-5-3.4 They are buried in the Hill Burying Ground, Concord.6,5
