       William/4w Bateman, 1st so-named, was born 29 Sep 1690 at Woburn, MA, and there died 7 Jul 1692.1
     Johnson's note: "William Bateman, son of John and Abigail (Richardson) Bateman, born Sept. 29, 1690. His father, enlisting from Woburn in Philip's War, came originally from Concord (son of Thomas), and after the war, settled, married (June 30, 1681), and reared a family in Woburn. Vide Sewall's History, 11[3 or 5]."2

       William/4w Bateman, 2d so-named, was born 3 May 1693 at Woburn, MA.1 He apparently removed with his father to Cohansey, West Jersey, where he returned, with David Wascoat (Westcott), 25 Apr 1732, the inventory of Josiah/3w Brooks of Cohansey, his 1st cousin once removed.2
