       Jeremiah/3w Norcross was born 3 Mar 1655 at Watertown, MA.¹ Mentioned in his father's will, 8 Apr 1708.² "Jan. 31, 1709-10, Jeremiah Norcross and Mary Norcross, semster (spinster), sold to Joseph Child, 19 acres, late of Richard Norcross, d., bounded N. and W. by Capt. N. Barsham; S. by Charles River; E. by land of J. and M. Norcross. Also 1 acre of marsh, E. of the above, on Charles River."³ He died 30 Nov 1717 at age 62.²

       Jeremiah/1 Norcross married, as her 2d husband, before 1621 in England, Adrean (–?–).¹ 1 Dec 1640, he was a resident of Massachusetts Bay, whose general court on that date appointed three men to "heare businesses betwen John Smyth & his father, Jeremy Norcros, & examine accounts, & settle things if they can; if not, to make report to the Courte if there bee cause.."²
     "Jeremiah Norcross settled in Watertown as early as 1642, where he was a large proprietor, owning a homestall (bought of John Page, Robert Tuck, Richard Ambler, and Jacob Logan) and 12 other lots of land.¹ His homestall was bounded south by Charles River, east and west by land of Henry [?Cuttris], north by John Smith.¹ Mar. 22, 1646-7, he bought 16 acres of Abigail Benjamin and Joshua Stubbs, ex'rs. of John Benjamin, Senr."¹ Admitted freeman Feb 1652/53, and was a selectman in 1649.¹
     His will, dated 15 Sep 1654 and proved 6 Oct 1657, "mentions wife Adrean; son Nathaniel and his wife Sarah; son Richard and his wife Mary; Mary, wife of my wife's son John Smith; brother's dr. Anna, wife of Samuel Davis, and her eldest dr. Hannah Davis; his brother, Charles Chadwick; dr. Sarah, wife of Francis Merry (?Massey)." Inventory 16 Sep 1657, proven by his son Richard 5 Oct 1658. "He gave 20s to ministers [John] Sherman, Simes [Symmes], Watson, [John] Eliot and [Richard] Mather."³
     "In Court, 6 Oct 1657, Dea. Simon Stone and Charles Chadwick testified that Mr. Norcross, deceased, declared his Will before he went to England. This implies that he died in England."⁴
     His name appears 20 times in Watertown Lands.

       Mehitabel/4w Norcross was born 4 Feb 1690/91 at Watertown, MA.¹ She married Daniel Livermore.²

       Nathaniel/4w Norcross Jr. was born 20 Dec 1695.¹ He married, 12 Dec 1717, Jemima Abbott, daughter of John Abbott and Jemima (–?–).² He died at Watertown, MA, 19 Apr 1749 at age 53.³

       Joseph Child Jr. was born 7 Jan 1658/59 at Watertown, MA.¹ There he married (1), 23 Sep 1680, Sarah/3w Norcross, daughter of Richard/2 Norcross and Mary/2w Brooks, with whom he had 6 children.² She died, and he married (2), 25 Jul 1705 at Watertown, Ruth/3 Church, daughter of Caleb/2 Church and Joanna Sprague, and widow of John Maddock, with whom he had 3 children.³ A carpenter, he died at Watertown 3 Nov 1711 at age 52.¹ His widow Ruth was an innholder there, 1719.³
