       Abigail/4w Bateman was born 29 Jul 1677 at Concord, MA.1 There she married, as his 1st wife, 31 Jan 1703/4, Joseph/3a Brooks of Concord, son of Dea. Joshua/2a Brooks and Hannah/2 Mason.2 (Joseph's brother Ens. Daniel Brooks married Abigail's 2d cousin Anna Merriam.). There she died "in childbed" 24 Jan 1704/5, two weeks after the birth of a daughter, at age 27.3 He married (2), 1706, Rebecca Blodgett, with whom he had further children, and died at Concord 11 Jul 1746.4
