       Abigail/3g Brooks was born 4 May 170_ at Glastonbury, CT. (Barbour reads the year 1703; Steve Simpson reads it 1708. The latter is more likely by the sequence of births.).¹ There she bore, 8 Feb 1727/28, a natural son Samuel Benjamin Brooks.²

       Elizabeth/3g Brooks was born 24 Jan 1711 at Glastonbury, CT.¹

       John/3g Brooks was born 8 Mar 1695 at Glastonbury, CT.¹

       Samuel/3g Brooks Jr. was born 27 May 1697 at Glastonbury, CT.¹ He married, by 1719, Mary (–?–), with whom he had 10 children.^2,3

       Timothy/3g Brooks was born 28 Oct 1701 at Glastonbury, CT.¹

       Thomas/4g Brooks was born 28 Jun 1719 at Glastonbury, CT.¹ Probably the same who married, by 1742, Susanna (–?–), with whom he had children at Bolton and Glastonbury.² 23 Mar 1779, Levi and Lydia (Buck) Brooks transferred "a certain piece of land situated in said Glastenbury in the Parish of Eastbury containing three acres of land to their honorable father Thomas…."³ His wife Susanna died 8 Feb 1795.⁴
     He perhaps remarried. Glastonbury church records note that the widow of Thomas Brooks died 12 Sep 1826, ae. 92 — although this might be Lucy (said to have died "1827"), wife of his son Thomas/5 Jr., who died in 1822 in Chenango County, NY.²

       Capt. John/4g Brooks was born 19 Apr 1724 at Glastonbury, CT.¹ There he married, 10 Jun 1746, Mary Crofoot, daughter of Ephraim Crofoot and Hannah Backus, with whom he had 10 children.² The 1790 census recorded their household (John and three females) at Bernardston, MA.³ He perhaps died at Bernardston.⁴ 25 Apr 1807, Perley Streeter and wife Eleanor of Guilford, VT, and Thomas Bidwell and wife Elizabeth of CT, deed all interest in the estate of their father, Capt. John Brooks, in Bernardston.⁴

       Theodore/4g Brooks was born 4 Oct 1727 at Glastonbury, CT.¹

       Samuel/4g Brooks III was born 30 May 1732 at Glastonbury, CT.¹ He married (1), say 1752, Sarah (–?–).² Probably the same who married (2?), 1 Jun 1769 at Glastonbury, Eunice Aulger.³
