       Zachariah/3 Carpenter was born 1/10 Jul 1680 at Rehoboth, MA.2 "Zachariah Carpenter that lives with me" is mentioned in the will of his stepfather Gilbert/1p Brooks, 6 Jun 1695.3,4 In the executors' account of 15 Jul following, Zachariah Carpenter has been paid his legacy of £3-14-6.3,4

       Phebe/2p Brooks was baptised 5 Sep 1652 at the Second Church, Scituate, MA.1,2 She married, by 1686, William Manley.3,2 The will of her father Gilbert Brooks, 6 Jun 1695, leaving "my nine daughters an equal share of my estate after my decease," names son-in-law William Manle an executor.2,4 See Hist.
