       William/4p Brooks was born 12 Jul 1714 at Scituate, MA, and there baptised 12 Sep at the Second Church.2,3 There he married, 15 Dec 1737, Mary Braman. Son William is mentioned in his father's will, 16 Mar 1768.4,5 His wife Mary died at Scituate 10 Aug 1789.6,7 His 1790 census household at Scituate included himself, one male under 16, and one female.8 There he died 21 Apr 1794 (g.s.) at age 79.2 Buried with his wife in First (South) Parish Cemetery, Norwell (formerly South Scituate).9

       Gilbert/4p Brooks Jr. was baptised 13 Jul 1718 at the Second Church, Scituate, MA.1 He married (1), 13 Sep 1739 (Scituate c.r.) (int. 21 Jul), Deborah/3 Curtis of Scituate, daughter of Samuel/2 Curtis and Anna Barstow. He married (2), 9 Aug 1749 at Weymouth, Anna Holbrook of Weymouth, daughter of Abiezer Holbrook and Ruth Vinson.2 Admitted into full communion with the Second Church, Scituate, 7 Jun 1752.3 Again recorded as being admitted into full communion there, 4 Jul 1756.3 He died by 25 Mar 1758, when his widow published intention of marriage with Ebenezer Pratt.

       Dea. John/4 Ruggles was born 8 Mar 1696/97 at Roxbury, MA.2 He married, 26 Oct 1720 at Scituate, Joanna/3p Brooks of Scituate, daughter of Thomas/2p Brooks and Hannah/3 Bisbee.3 He succeeded to the Scituate farm of his father-in-law, which, Deane wrote in 1831, "lies a half mile east of the residence of William above described. It was the farm of William Richards 1640."4 John Ruggles died 5 Dec 1772 (g.s.) at age 75.5 His wife died 26 Mar 1779.6 They are buried in South Parish Cemetery, Norwell (formerly South Scituate).7
