       Miriam/4s Brooks was born 9 Feb 1761 at Northfield, MA.2,1,3 She married, as his 1st wife, 2 Apr 1779 at Greenfield, John Morley Jr. [Sheldon: Moseley], son of John Morley and Sarah Green, with whom she had 6 children.4,5 She died sometime after the birth of their 6th child, 4 Jul 1788.6 Her husband married (2), 1790, Sally Fisher, had further issue, and died in 1827 at Bristolville, OH.7

       Benjamin Rose was born in 1724, perhaps at Bolton, MA (Hist. Northfield).1 Of Northfield, 1748.1 A soldier in the French & Indian War, 1757.1 He married, 2 Feb 1758 at Northfield, Eunice/4s Brooks of Montague, daughter of Nathaniel/3s Brooks and Abigail/4 Allen.2 Removed to Winhall, VT before 1783.1 Will, 6 Aug 1785, Winhall.3 Inventory, 6 Jan 1786.3

       Seaver reports a second son John, say 1699, but no record is found at Deerfield.2 The home of Ebenezer Brooks was burned in the French and Indian raid on Deerfield, 29 Feb 1703/4, but the family escaped death or captivity by hiding in a cellar.3,1 "Prob. a soldier in Father Rale's War," Sheldon mentions of John Brooks.1
