       Sarah C. (–?–) was born in New York state circa Sep 1812.1,2 She married, as his 2d wife, Capt. Bela/5c Brooks, son of Capt. Lemuel/4c Brooks and Amelia Blakeslee.1 The 1850 census recorded Bela (a. 49, farmer, estate $7000), Sarah (a. 37), six children ages 4-23, and (tenant?) farmer John Watkins (a. 22, b. England) in their household at Morris, NY.3 There she died 1 Aug 1855, ae. 42-10-27 (g.s.).1,4 Buried with her husband's 1st wife Annis in Harmony Church Burying Ground, Morris.1,4

       Hannah/5c Crittenden was born ca 31 Jan 1809.1 She married, as his 1st wife, her 1st cousin William Riley/5c Brooks of Butternuts (now Morris), NY, son of Capt. Lemuel/4c Brooks and Amelia Blakeslee.1 The 1850 census recorded William (a. 43, farmer, estate $5700), Hannah (a. 41), and sons Erastus and Edwin in their household at Morris.2 She died 8 Mar 1867, ae. 58-1-8 (g.s.).1,3 He married (2) Eliza A. (–?–).1 Her cenotaph in Harmony Church Burying Ground, Morris, where her husband is buried, indicates she died at Clinton, IA.3
