       Charles/1 Ferry "was in Springfield [MA] not far from 1661, when his name appears in the records."1 There he married, 29 Mar 1661, Sarah/2 Harmon of Springfield, daughter of John/1 Harmon and Sarah (–?–), with whom he had 10 children.2 There he died 3 Jul 1699.1 There his widow died 21 Oct 1740.1

Alexander.5,6 There she died 3 Nov 1694.7 There he married (3), 28 May 1696, Mary/3 Cooley, daughter of Obadiah/2 Cooley and Rebecca Williams.7 There she died 8 Nov 1708.7 There he married (4), 24 Aug 1720, Mary Sweetman.7 There he died 23 Dec 1745 at age 83.7

       Nathaniel/3 Burt Jr. was born 13/18 Jan 1663/4 at Springfield, MA.2,3,4 There he married (1), 21 Jan 1691, Elizabeth/2 Dumbleton, daughter of John/1 Dumbleton and Mercy (–?–).5,6 She died at Springfield 3 Nov 1692, about 2 weeks following childbirth.7 There he married (2), 19 Jan 1699/0, Mary/2 Ferry of S., daughter of Charles/1 Ferry and Sarah/2 Harmon.8 The Sikes/Sykes Family Association says he married (3) Mrs. Mary Crowfoot (though I have not found this record).9 He died 19 Jul 1749 at age 85.10

     20 Oct 1686, Dea. Jonathan/2 Burt was plaintiff against Thomas Mirick Jr. For saying of Deacon Burth that he lyed basely and was a Lying man: to the damage of 40s in defaming his the said Burt's name: Thomas Merick appearing said he was sorry for the words acknowledges they were grose Rash foolish & sinfull and: desyred Deacon Burt to Pass them By who replyed he did not desire his Money But his owning his disorder and Ill speaking and now doeing it he did freely forgive him: He paying Costs viz 18d Mony and so Issued this matter.3
