He married (2), 22 Oct 1716 at Scituate, Anna/3 Hatch, daughter of Jeremiah/2 Hatch and Mary Hewes, and widow of Joseph Smith and Amasa Turner.2,3 He died at Hanover 7 Apr 1731 at age 67.2,4 Buried in Second Church cemetery, Norwell (formerly South Scituate).2

His will, dated Hanover, 4 Apr 1730, proved 24 Apr 1731, named wife Anna; daughters Rachel Swift, Abigail, Hannah, Ruth, Experience, and Mercy Stockbridge; grandsons Nehemiah and James Randall; and his brother Joseph Stockbridge to be executor. His widow Anna was appointed guardian of daughter Mercy, under age fourteen, 15 May 1731.2
25 Apr 1732, the Superior Court of Judicature, held in Plymouth, in response to a petition on behalf of the heirs of Charles Stockbridge, appointed Caleb Torrey, Abner Dwelley, Benjamin Silvester, Francis Baker, and Gershom Stetson, "five Freeholders to divide sd Estate according to the will." These divided Charles's Hanover real estate, 1 Mar 1733, between widow Anna and the six daughters, Rachel Swift, Abigail Brooks, Hannah Stockbridge, Ruth Allin, Experience Tiffany, and Mercy Stockbridge, a minor.2
