       Joseph/3w Lester was born 15 Jun 1664 at New London, CT.1 He married, by 1693, Katherine (–?–).2 Joseph and Benjamin Lester settled on farms in the vicinity of the town plot.3

       Joseph/4w Lester Jr., 2d so-named, was born 12 Jun 1707 at New London, CT.1 Probably the same who married Hannah/3 Robbins of New London, daughter of William/2 Robbins and Sarah/3 Carpenter.2

       Joanna/2 Willey, of New London, married (1), as his 2d wife, Robert Hempstead.1 He died at New London in Jun 1655.1 She is said to have married (2), as his 2d wife, Andrew/1 Lester of New London, without issue. But since Andrew Lester's 3d wife and widow Hannah married Joanna's father Isaac Willey about six years later, this 2d marriage of Joanna's seems unlikely.3,1,4,5 She died in 1659.6
