       Elizabeth/3a Wheeler was born on 6 Oct 1661 at Concord, MA.1 There she married, as his 1st wife, 28 May 1678, Capt. Ebenezer/2 Prout, son of Capt. Timothy/1 Prout and Margaret (–?–), with whom she had 3 sons.2,3 They lived at Concord and then at Charlestown, where she died 11 Oct 1683 at age 22.3

John/1 Ball

       John/1 Ball is supposed to have been born circa 1585 in Wiltshire, England.1,2 By some accounts his wife, who apparently died in England, was Joanna King.2 He and his sons John and Nathaniel emigrated to Massachusetts and settled at Watertown, where he was admitted a freeman 22 May 1650.3,4 "He later removed to Concord where he lived with his son, Nathaniel, until he died Nov. 1, 1655."2

       Nathaniel/4a Ball III was born 1 Apr 1692 at Concord, MA.1 There he married (1), 31 May 1711, Sarah Baker of Concord, daughter of William Baker and Elizabeth Dutton, with whom he had 12 children.2 With his mother, signed the inventory of his father's estate, 6 Apr 1725.3 His wife died at Concord 16 Feb 1743.4 There he married (2), 10 Sep 1746, Sarah Davis of Lexington, widow of Isaac/4 Merriam, with whom he had 2 children.5 He died at Concord 3 Jun 1749 at age 57.6 His widow died 25 May 1799 at Groton, NH.7
