Dolor/1 Davis is supposed to have been born in Kent, perhaps about 1600.1 He married, in England circa 1624, Margery/1 Willard, daughter of Richard/a Willard.1,2 Of Cambridge, MA, 1634.1,3 A petitioner for the establishment of Groton, 1656, "having before resided in Barnstable."3 A carpenter, he was one of 20 men receiving lands at Concord, 1659.3 He married (2) Joanna/2 Hull, daughter of Rev. Joseph/1 Hull, and widow of John Bursley.4 He died at Barnstable in Jun 1673.1,3
Of his children, "two sons, Simon and Samuel, who settled in this [Concord] town … were the fruitful vines whose numerous branches extend over this and Worcester counties, and part of New Hampshire, and are constantly sending forth new and flourishing shoots."3
