       Samuel/2 Davis was born circa 1638.2,3 He "settled in the present limits of Bedford [MA], where his descendants yet live."3 He married, 11 Jan 1665 at Concord, Mary Meadows (Mead).4 Admitted freeman of Concord, 21 Mar 1689/90.5 His wife died there 30 Oct 1710.6

       Lt. Simon/4 Davis III was born 7 Sep 1692 at Concord, MA.1 Of Concord, he married (1), by 1714, Dorothy (–?–).2,3 There he married (2), 1 Jun 1719, Hannah/4a Potter of Concord, daughter of Judah/2 Potter and Grace/3a Brooks, and widow of Thomas Brown Jr.4 Removed to Rutland by 1729 [Shattuck, in error, "about 1720"].5 "He died in an unknown place at the house of his son Eleazer."6 See History of Paxton, 54, 87, 107.7
