John/1 Hodge was of Killingworth, CT, 1664.1 He married, 12 Aug 1666 at Windsor, Susanna/3 Denslow of Windsor , daughter of Henry/2 Denslow and Susanna (–?–), with whom he had issue there before removal to Suffield.2 He was an original purchaser of land at Suffield from Maj. John Pynchon, who bought the tract which became Suffield from the Indians for £30, then had it surveyed and subdivided for sale to settlers. Pynchon's account reconciliation, dated Feb 1681, notes that John Hodge had paid 16s. 8d. for an unspecified amount of land.3
