       Sarah (Sally) Creasey was born in Maine in 1809/10.1,2 Of Buxton, she married, 4 Aug 1831 in York County, Gardner/6k Brooks of Portland, son of Daniel/5k? Brooks and Susanna Dunn.3 The 1850 census recorded Gardner (a. 43, cooper, r.e. $1000), Sarah (a. 41), and six children aged 3-16 in their household at Buxton.2 The 1860 census recorded Gardner (a. 52, milk dealer, real estate $1000), Sarah (a. 50), and children Daniel (a. 21, schoolteacher) and Lizzie (a. 13, student) in their household in the 7th Ward, Portland.1

       Gardner/6k Brooks was born in Maine or New Hampshire in 1807/8.2,3 Of Portland, ME, he married, 4 Aug 1831 in York County, Sarah (Sally) Creasey of Buxton, ME.4 Mentioned, of Buxton, in an affidavit by his brother Samuel, 1845.1 The 1850 census recorded Gardner (a. 43, cooper, r.e. $1000), Sarah (a. 41), and six children aged 3-16 in their household at Buxton.5 The 1860 census recorded Gardner (a. 52, milk dealer, real estate $1000), Sarah (a. 50), and children Daniel (a. 21, schoolteacher) and Lizzie (a. 13, student) in the 7th Ward, Portland.3

       Daniel/7k Brooks, a twin, was born 25 Feb 1839 at Buxton, ME.2,1 There recorded (a. 11, attended school) in his parents' household in the 1850 census.3 Recorded in 1860 (a. 21, public school teacher) with his parents in the 7th Ward, Portland.2

       John/3e Brooks Jr. had a deed of gift, 10 Mar 1685/86, from his grandfather Richard/1e Brooks of Easthampton, LI.3 John Brooks Jr., husbandman and "eldest son unto John Brooks, deceased," quit-claimed, 20 Jan 1703/4, his interest in land and privileges sold by (uncle?) Samuel Brooks in 1695 to Cornelius Conkling, said premises having been derived from John's father. The quit-claim was signed by mark.1
