       Samuel/3 Prescott married, 5 May 1698 at Concord (both of Concord), Esther Wheeler, daughter of John Wheeler.3 She died at Acton 1 May 1756.4
     Shattuck writes, "supposed to have been a son of Jonathan by a wife had before Elizabeth Hoar, … and had Amos and six daughters, who lived principally in Acton." An unnamed infant son of Samuel was one of the victims of an epidemic at Concord between Nov 1717 and Mar 1718 which took at least 27 lives.5

       Esther Wheeler was born 1 Dec 1678 at Concord, MA.1 There she married, 5 May 1698 (both of Concord), Samuel/3 Prescott, son of Capt. Jonathan/2 Prescott and Dorothy (–?–).2 She died at Acton 1 May 1756, at age 77.3

       Capt. Ebenezer/2 Prout was baptised 15 Mar 1657 at the 1st Church, Boston, MA.2 He initially lived at Concord, where he married (1), 28 May 1678, 16-year-old Elizabeth/3a Wheeler of Concord, daughter of Capt. Timothy/1 Wheeler and Mary/2a Brooks, with whom he had 3 sons.3,4 At Concord he was captain of the trainband, and deputy to the General Court of 1689/90. Later he was Clerk of the House of Representatives, in which capacity he signed the order for the arrest of Governor Andros.1,4 They subsequently lived at Charlestown, where Elizabeth died 11 Oct 1683 at age 22.4 He married (2) Grace Sherman.4 Received 5s. in the will of his former mother-in-law Mary/2a Brooks, 20 Apr 1691.5,6 He sold 1,000 acres of "nonesuch meadow" at Sudbury to Rev. James/2 Sherman, who conveyed it to his sons in a May 1706 deed.7 Ebenezer Prout died at Watertown.4

       Capt. Timothy/1 Prout married Margaret (–?–).1 She died 29 Oct 1685 at Boston, MA.2 Of Boston, he "lived some time in Concord," says Shattuck.1
