       William/6k Brooks was born in Maine about 1800 (conflicting census ages).2,3 Of Eaton, NH, he married, by 1832, Asenath Hersom of Ossipee , daughter of Timothy Horsom and Judith Hanson.2,3 Mentioned, of Buxton, ME, in an affidavit of his brother Samuel's, 1845.1 The 1860 census recorded them at Eaton with six children in the household, ages 28 to 16. William, a farmer of 68, had real estate of $1200 and personal property worth $500.3 The 1870 census recorded him at Eaton, a. 70, with Senath, son Charles A. and family, and son William P.4 He died at Eaton 20 Nov 1883.5 Buried with his wife in Snowville Cemetery.6

       William Edward/7k Brooks (known as Edward) was born 22 Oct 1822 at Freedom, NH.1,2 He married (1), 28 Feb 1850 at Eaton, Sabrina D. Patch.1,3,4 The 1850 census recorded Edward (a. 27, farmer, r.e. $1000), Sabrina (a. 25), and daughter Martha (a. 3 mos.) in their Freedom household. Next door were his parents; four dwellings up was his uncle Charles Brooks, and five dwellings down was his brother Joseph.5
     His wife Sabrina died 18 Sep 1869.6 He married (2) Sarah E. Barnes.6 He died 6 Jul 1894 at Kirkwood, IL, at age 71.6
