       Abigail/5 Burt was born 18 May 1714 at Springfield, MA.2 There she married, as his 1st wife, 5 Feb 1735/36, Capt. Simon/3 Colton, son of John/2 Colton and Joanna/4 Wolcott.2 There she died 3 May 1760 at age 45.2 He married (2), 1761, Rebecca Hale (no further issue), and died 29 May 1796.2

       Capt. Simon/3 Colton was born circa 1709 at Springfield, MA.1 There he married (1), 5 Feb 1735/36, Abigail/5 Burt, daughter of Capt. John/4 Burt and Abigail Rix.1 There she died 3 May 1760 at age 45.1 He married (2), 15 Jan 1761, Rebecca Hale, daughter of Thomas Hale and Experience/3 Burt.1 He died 29 May 1796 (g.s.).1 His widow died 21 Jul 1803.1 Simon and Rebecca are buried in Longmeadow Cemetery.
