       Mercy/4p Brooks was baptised 10 Feb 1722/23 at the Second Church, Scituate, MA.1 Probably died before 16 Mar 1768; unmentioned in her father's will of that date.2,3

       Mercy/4p Brooks was born 17 Oct 1731 at Scituate, MA.1 There she married, 3 Jan 1750/51 (int. 8 Dec), John Hayden Jr. of Braintree.2,3,4 "They had sons Noah, John and Benjamin, settled in Chesterfield, MA."5,4 9 Jul 1789, John Hayden, wife Mercy, and sons John Hayden Jr. and Noah Hayden, all of Chesterfield, MA, quit claim to Nathaniel Brooks of Scituate their interest in the estate of Simon Brooks, deceased, Jul. 9, 1789. Signed by Mercy Hayden only. Witnesses, Isaiah & James Damon.4
