       Jabez/4w Brooks was born 7 Jan 1692/93 at Woburn, MA.1 With his parents removed, ca 1712, to Killingly, CT where, 2 Sep 1716, First Church pastor Mr. Fisk baptised Ebenezer, Jabez, Eleazor, Martha, Eunice and Priscilla, children of Ebenezer Brooks.2,3 There Jabez/4w Brooks married, 20 Dec 1721, Mary Bateman.4,5 Town surveyor, 1728.6 Said to have died in 1758.7 His estate was settled 10 Feb 1761.8

       Jeremiah/5w Gould was born 17 Jan 1719/20, probably at Killingly, CT.1 He married, by 1755, his 3d cousin Elizabeth/5w Brooks, daughter of Jabez/4w Brooks and Mary Bateman.1

       Mary Bateman was perhaps born 16 Feb 1696.1 She married, 20 Dec 1721 at Killingly, CT, Jabez/4w Brooks, son of Ebenezer/3w Brooks and Martha Wilder.2,3 Baptised as an adult 8 May 1726 by Mr. Fisk at the First Church, Killingly.4
